RE: 1991 Plymouth Acclaim----------------------------------- the right turn signal goes on but does not "flash"on & off-both front & rear bulbs are 'lit'/do not have "burnt out" look to them-I DID change the (turn signal) fuse-should I change both front & back bulbs even though they aren't burnt out? Will changing the bulbs correct the "won't flash" problem? The left turn signal works just fine. Thank you for your help.(Need to get signal flashing again-so I don't get pulled over by the police again.)

SOURCE: turn signal will not ''flash'' on /off-cops pulled me over about it

The problem is most likely not a bulb and certainly not a fuse but the 'flasher'. The flasher is located under the driver's side A/C duct above the fuse box. It just plugs in so you shouldn't need any tools.

Left rear turn signal, left rear hazard light, and left rear brake light do not come on, but right side does. When parking lights or headlights are turned on, both right and left work.

Replace that bulb. All those functions are from the same one filament inside those two filament bulbs. One filament is for park lights, and the other is for turns and brake light.

Front right signal lights come on but don't blink, rear right does not come on at all. Left side is working fine.

That means that the right rear bulb is blown and needs to be replaced and then you should have your turn signals back to working right. I hope this helps you and good luck.

I have no signals and when brakes lights are on, lose brake light to either side turn signal is set on

Hi!!

If you activate the turn signal switch and you step on the brake pedal, the turn switch (on the steering column) deactivates the brake light to make the signal light more visible. The bulb for the stop and turn lights is the same.

Turn hazard lights ON. If they don't blink, replace turn/hazard flasher, If one or more lights don't come on, replace bulb.

Check fuse and circuit wiring for broken or loose connections. If all looks fine, check following:

If front turn lights work fine, check brake/turn bulbs.

If turn lights come on but don't blink, replace turn signal/hazard flasher.

If front and back turn lights don't come on, replace switch on column.

Let me know how it worked out, Good Luck

1990 acclaim signal and brake lights

You need to check for power & ground at left rear socket, and clean it & contacts in it well, and may have to squeeze socket a bit to supply better ground to outside of bulb base. If that doesn't work, poke wires going into back of socket with test light, with signal on, and if power present, replace the socket assy. About $5.00
