1990chevy suburban 2500 350 died while driving and won't restart I can hear the fuel pump turn on I have changed the fuel filter and still nothing what's next

test the fuel pressure. it needs to be done with a fuel pressure tester. This is done by testing on the feed line to the throttle body. The fuel system needs to see 9-13 psi of fuel pressure. If the pressure is lower, you may not actually have enough fuel pressure to operate the injectors as they should. You may also want to climb under the truck and located the middle sized fuel line that runs to the tank. This is the return line. If you gently pinch this line off, it will boost the fuel pressure.
