I was driving this vehicle for a week and on the way the service engine soon light was on. I don't see a reason why this has turned on. When i put ignition key and turn only the service engine soon, oil and battery lights are on. When i start the car, the service engine soon light is still on. Could someone explain why it is. What maintenance should i take first? thanks

sounds like very dirty throttle body and /or defective idle air control valve

Check your gas cap. If someplace can test it you might luck out. This website advertises manuals and info online. The evaporator cannister is suppose to purify excess fuel vapors. But a system which is not sealed will code an error lamp.

bulb is probably blown... you have to remove the instrument cluster to change the bulb

an engine needs three things to start andrun; fuel, spark, and compression. The non-starting may or may not be related to the previous oil situation. The oil light came on because it lost oil pressure. If it lost oil pressure and it's a well worn engine to start with, it might not have enough compression at the rings to start. If it doesn't have enough to start, it'd barely run if you somehow did get it started. It may not start because of some totally unrelated problem like fuel or spark. The only way to find out is to have a technician troubleshoot it. Good luck.
