Are you sure there is a cd in the player?? i know it's a dumb question but make sure. on most cd players, you drop the faceplate and there is a little tiny hole you can stick a paper clip in and it will eject the cd. should only have to push it about an 1/8 inch at most.

I have a 2003 Cadillac Escalade, the Radio is working; but the CD player is not, also have six CD's in the CD player and it won't eject them

I assume you are not getting an error displayed on the radio. There are many reasons the player may have failed, from a fuse problem (there may be a blown inline fuse on the power feed attached to the player) to a jammed disk or defective optical reader. In any case, an error should be displayed on the radio. If nothing happens when you press the eject button, I suggest you visit a dealer who should be able to manually eject the cassette.

probably the motor that turns the cd on the inside if its a expensive cd player you might want to get it repaired.

I have a 2004 Mazda 3 w/ a single disc CD player...which has not been working for several months. There is a cd in the player but nothing happens when I press the eject button nor the CD button; won't...

Possible that the cd disc has jammed due to a change in the disc- warming can bend some cd's, also if the cd is struck inside as the loading mechanism is struck. In both cases the set must be pulled out if there is no hope with trying to retrieve the cd softly assisting while ejecting. If you do not hear any noise while the eject is pressed then the loading drive is faulty , you need to remove the cd , open to check, If this is mechanical then you can softly push the cd out, if not the electonic section needs a check.

The player will not eject the cd but it will not play it either.

I know it sound crazy, but turn the system on, press eject while using a PLASTIC knife to lift the CD in the player. If the system is stock also try disconnecting the radio fuse for about 10 minutes or so with the car off. Reconnect it to see if the radio resets. You'll know the power completely went out because you'll have to reset your stations. By Resetting, hopefully the issue will solve itself. In a few of the system issues I've seen, when the motor won't open the faceplate, or the CD player won't give the CD back. I usually remove the faceplate or disconnect the negative side of the battery for about ten minutes. Try this if the fuse removal doesn't work. Good look. Let me know how it goes. there are other things to try.

Car CD player won't load Cd's - Peugeot 306

Yeah, the sensor that detects the presence of the disc is knackered - probably broken off. The eject will always eject the disc. Just press the button with no disc and you will hear it try. Look at ebay for a replacement - theyre dirt cheap!
