take the heater hose off from the top of the matrix where it go's into the bulk head and run the engine until all the air is out of the system then put the hose back. but keep to[pping up the water level all the time. this will get all the trapped air out. which should be your problem

I take it the water level in the expansion tank is ok. You could have a blocked core in the heater. Also the heater could be leaking. You could try flushing the cooling system and checking for leaks and blockages.

I have a ford escort van and the heater has stpped blowing hot air, how do i fix this?

I assume the fan is working, as you are complaining just about hot air. If the engine reaches its normal temperature, ensure that the tap for the heater radiator is opening.

Problem with my heater on my escort van

try putting a 12v feed to the heater fan, if it works, you have a problem with your wiring, if it doesnt work, your blower is faulty.

hope this helps.

Escort van 55 blower heater does not blow at all

I had this problem on my '98 Ford Escort ZX2.
It did not need a new blower but a $15 Blower Motor Resistor.  The wires and connectors rusted out.

Heater only blows hot (well, warm) on full speed of fan

Replace the temp control on this car, it should be electrical control not cables.
