I have a 1995 buick regal custom: it has 70,000 miles on it ... When I'm driving at the speeds around 40 to 50 mph it seems to studder or something but when I take my foot off the accelerator it stops.. I replaced the TPS, idle air control ,MAF sensor , PCV , and the cars computer. To no avail it has new spark plugs and plug wires... I have taken it to a Buick dealer ship and was told that it's process of elimination ... I can't keep replacing parts as it's very costly... Does any one have any ideas for me to check? Please help

That doesn't sound like buick dealer response , not with the tools they have at thier disposal . This sounds like a ignition control module or one of the crankshaft position sensors (has two ) or possibly the cam position sensor . The buick dealer tech's should have a tool like this .

SOURCE: 1995 Buick Lesabre custom stalling and idle

did you clean the idle speed control air bypass valve?, u do this by spraying carb spray into the intake while the engine is held at hi idle so it won't stall, use up about half the can, then shut down and disconnect battery for 5 minutes to reset system idle learn, drive the car for a few days and let me know if the problem is fixed.

SOURCE: 1992 Buick Regal Custom keeps dying in gear unless I double pedal

unfortunatly it sounds like you are having issues with the torque converter. it sounds like it is locking up all the time now. this requires the transmission to be taken out to change it i do not know what your experience is so not sure if you have the tools or knowledge to do it yourself.

SOURCE: bogging and hesitation on acceleration iddle is fine

You definitely covered most of the bases. Considering all you've done so far, I would check into the fuel system next. First, how old is the fuel filter? Has it been changed? Yes, a bad filter can cause the problems your having. Next would be the fuel pressure regulator. You need a fuel pressure gauge to check it, which you should be able to rent from a good auto parts store. That will also tell you how good your fuel pump is, i.e. if the pump can deliver the necessary fuel pressure off idle. After that, I would check the injectors themselves for wear or blockage. A bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank would be a good idea, cheap, quick, and it wont make anything worse. If all that checks out, check your catalytic converter, a clogged or bad cat will also do what your describing. Good luck.

SOURCE: stalls at low idle

start right back up? if it does , then pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and and a stall . if gas comes out of the regulator/and hose. Thats the problem , bad diaphram in fuel pressure regulator!! $45.00 @ auto parts store , snapring pliers is only tool you'll need!! ($5.00 tool) Chep and easy!! :) Hope this helps!! Richie
