SOURCE: how to change my headlights on Honda 2005 CRV

easy cheesy! Ive changed mine twice. The headlights are small bulbs. Make sure you get the right one (hi-beam vs low-beam). Unplug connector at back of bulb / headlamp unit, remove rubber weather seal (pops right ot). The bulb is held in with a small wire clip that is hard to get back on but can be done. Its spring loaded. Drop wire clip, turn bulb assya 1/4 turn, and it comes right out. Remove bulb from holder and replace. Reverse steps and VOILA!

SOURCE: 2004 honda crv brake won't release

Your emergency brake is a mechanical brake system that is indipendant of the regular hydrolic system. If the red brake light on the dash is on make sure it's the emerg. brake and not a problem with the fluid level or the calapers sticking. the best way to check the emerg. brake is to rase both rear wheels off the ground and spin them. If they spin, the emerg. brake is not locked up. If they don't spin, take the rear tires off and the brake drums. (you may have rear disk brakes.) check the springs to insure they are all hooked up properly. If there is no problem there, follow the parking brake cable to check for damage. The cable is like a brake cable on a bike, If the inner cable is binding inside the cable sleeve, the brake wont release. If you have rear disc, it's probly a bad calaper. The park brake cable is attached to the calapers. Rember if it wont run it's annoying but if it won't stop, it's deadly. DON"T experiment with brakes!!! If in doubt, take it to a pro.

SOURCE: How to change the whole headlight assembly on a 05 Honda CRV

When you raise the hood, look for a Phillips screw that holds the parking lamp in. if it is there remove screw and pull parking lamp toward front of vehicle. If headlamp and side lamp are 1 piece, there should be 2 number 10 mm headed bolts that are vertical, that hold the assembly in. The side lamp will have a stud that holds the light to the fender. You may have to pry it loose. Reverse procedure to install.

SOURCE: 1998 honda crv vibrates when starting out

Increased vibration from a vehicle indicates worn out engine supports. This vibration often disappears when revving the engine high, but is very noticeable at low revs.

You can have these inspected and possibly replaced to reduce the vibration cominf from your engine.

Hope this helps.

Replace headlight

Hello,
Follow the process below to replace your headlight:
  • Prop open your hood and locate the release lever for the headlight assembly, the lever is approximately 2 inches under the two upper mounting bolts that hold the fender in place.

  • Press down on the release lever and then push it back up. Pull the headlight assembly forward and slide it out of your Beetle.
  • Unplug the electrical connector from the backside of the assembly. Look toward the top part of the backside of the assembly for a black plastic tab. Push down on the tab and pull the headlight cover up and out.
  • Pull the retaining clip off of the old bulb and remove the old bulb from the assembly by pulling it straight out. Align the bulb correctly with the headlight assembly by matching the marked tabs on the bulb with the raised notches on the assembly. Set the bulb inside the assembly, pushing it down carefully.
  • Push the ends of the retaining clip into the small holes on either side of the new bulb and snap the headlight cover on to secure it.

Take care and good luck

HOW TO CHANGE A HEADLIGHT??

Pop the hood and look behind the headlight housing. There will be a pigtail wire connector plugged into the bulb. It will most likely have a retaining clip on the connector. Remove the clip and unplug the wire harness from the bulb. Once completed, there should be a round plastic retaining ring holding the bulb in. Some just twist and lock in place, and some have small torx bit screws holding the retaining ring in place. Either way, remove the round ring, then pull and wiggle the bulb out. (The bulb has a rubber "O" ring around it to seal out moisture, so you have to pull/wiggle the bulb to get it out) Some vehicles require unbolting the headlamp housing to get at the back of it. If yours is like that, there will be two LONG bolts right on the top, one on each side, most likely a 10mm head. Unscrew the two bolts and pull them out. Then just pull/wiggle the housing forward. I normally do this anyway since it's easier to get the round bulb retainer out when I can tip the housing to get at it unobstructed. When installing the new bulb, DO NOT touch the glass portion of the bulb or get anything on it. The oils in your skin will cause it to fail quickly. Hope this helps.

Replacement of front headlight on 2002 X-type Jaguar

For the headlight you need to push the
backplate retaining clip away from you towards the wing with
something like a long screwdriver. However, before you do this
loop some electrical wire through it and back towards you so that
you will have a good purchase on it to pull the retaining clip back
into place after. Also, when removing the bulb, take note of where
the flat part of it is (you'll know what I mean by looking at your
new bulbs). This will assist you in placing the new bulb into the
correct position. Then a little bit of extra dexterity is required
be holding the new bulb in place (pressing on the spade connector)
and bringing the small bulb retaining clip over to hold the bulb in
place - a bit fiddly but all with one hand as you can't get two in.
Good luck.

How do you change the front light on the drivers side.

since i've not personally had a chance to get my hands on this model of vehicle yet, i'm going to make an educated guess based on how it is done on the 02 sierra, since both are gm products. On the sierra there are 2 rods right at where the headlights are under the hood. Remove those rods to release the light bezels, the bezels should be able to be easily removed. from there just remove the bulb from its' socket, disconnect it from the wire, put in the new one and reassemble. Hope this helps

Replacing headlight bulb ford focus

Most of this solution for changing a headlamp on a ford focus sedan is taken from solution 2's writeup, accept with a few more details that should help changing the bulb assembly for the novice. Pop the hood. At the front of the car, look to the back of the headlight assembly. There will be a plastic cover on the back. On some models, you need to unscrew the plastic cap; on others, it just pops or screws off. Remove the plastic cover and then take note of the orientation of the three prong connector on the back of the bulb assembly. This is important because the replacement bulb assembly is going to have to be positioned in the same manner. By noting the orientation before taking out the old assembly, it will be easier to orient the replacement bulb assembly after removal.
There is a small retaining clip that surrounds and holds the bulb in place. Removing the clip can be tricky. On my 2003 Ford Focus sedan, there is a special place to push and release the clip that is above the bulb - perhaps further above than you might think. Push the release clip and it will release the retaining clip from the bulb assembly. Gently pull the retaining clip down and out of the way of the bulb assembly. Pull the original bulb straight out. Remove the three prong connector from the bulb assembly. Connect the three prong connector to the replacement bulb and then orient the three prong connector as the original and push bulb assembly straight back into place. Jiggle the assembly slightly to seat it into the correct position in the headlamp housing and replace the retaining clip to hold the bulb in place. Replace the plastic cover on the back of the headlamp and replacement is complete.
No tools. 10 minutes.

How to change the whole headlight assembly on a 05 Honda CRV

You have to remove the front bumper and grill etc

There are 5 bolts holding the headlight assembly in place. 2 at the top and 3 underneath.

Remove the plastic cross piece by prising out the clips and then the grille clips too then unbolt the bolts eithr side under the wheel arch. The bumper is still fastened using cips. Pull the bumper forward to unclip.

Replacing the headlight bulbs on 2005 Ranger

Having just purchased a 2002 Ford Focus I found that the passenger side headlight had gone. Stumbled accross this thread and thought "looks like a pain".
Popped to Halfords and picked up a H1 bulb, went home and had a look under the bonnet.
Armed with just a screwdriver I managed to change the bulb within 10 mins. Flicked the headlight cover off using the screwdriver for a bit of leverage. Unpluged the headlight and flicked off the retaining clip. Removed the bulb.
Fitting was even easier - Put bulb in place, clip the retaining clip in place, plug in and replace cover.
Job done within 10 minutes with no prior experience of Fords.
Hope it helps
IMPORTANT!!! The retaining clip does NOT just flick off. Tried that and broke the plastic stop that holds the retainer clip and allows it to apply tension to the bulb! The retainer wire is held in place on the bottom by a screw and clip on the bottom and is locked into a plastic clip on top. To remove the wire, push the wire down and towards the passenger side of the car, it will dislodge and you can then lower it to remove the bulb. Once the bulb has been changed, you want to replace the wire the same way to protect the plastic clip. I don't know what I will do about the plastic clip now, the retaining wire has no tension and I'm afraid the bulb will not remain seated properly. However, knowing what I know now, I agree with the above answer: Done in 10 minutes without prior experience with Fords.
=== Just finished doing this. A small mirror and a flashlight make this job simple. It's very easy to do once you can see the top of the clip.
small mirror and flashlight are essential, look at the way the retaining wire seats before you unclip it. flat side of the bulb houseing sits at the bottom of the access hole. retaining wire clips bottom to top. I had a hard time with seating the new bulb and had to figure out the retaining wire clipped from bottom to top because I didn't look at it before I unclipped it. obviously fords designed this for ease of manufacter with very little regard to the average layman who would do the replacing.
