+ key fob battery replaced + cannot use remote locking - nothing happens + can get in car with manual key + put key in ignition and nothing happens (cant turn it even) + no lights, not one bit of electricity anywhere + tried to jump start, ignition wont move + called MB - really unhelpful
Try checking the key reader it's usually a plastic ring around the key barrel. If it's dies will not read code in key to enable the car to start. Check your key is sending a code as well.

Go to autozone and ask them to put it in for you..lol or o'reillys. Youd be surprised at how much they will help you if you ask, It would be hard for me to tell you how, but under your hood on each side of your radiator, you can probably see back of headlight. hello,steering lock mechanism and your key need to replaced,if you want try to remove your under dash,steering lock mechanism have a small pin(around 5 mm) which pit to steering housing,drill out the lock,then try to turn steering wheel,ty

I am assuming that the engine won't even turn over. could be lots of different things. The simplist is to make sure the car in in PARK , won't start if not. Other things could be , Security imobilizer if you have one. Does your key have a electronic chip in it ? Try your other set of keys if you have one. Check if battery connections are clean and tight.

There is a central door locking pump under the back seat, the motor has gone in it, cheap way to repair is to strip it down and put a motor in it from a tyre compreser from argos for under £10 very easy to fit just two wires
Reset your Mercedes-Benz key by placing the key in the ignition of your vehicle while the vehicle is turned off. Do not turn on the vehicle. Press a finger on the "lock" button of your key fob while the key is in the Mercedes' ignition.
Pull the key out of the ignition while continuing to hold the "lock" button down. Continue to hold the "lock" button for the duration of the key resetting process
Use another finger to push down on the "unlock" button five consecutive times. Keep holding down the "lock" button.
Release the "lock" button. This is the end of the resetting process for your Mercedes-Benz. Use your key fob to ensure it is properly working
