We have a 1995 ford escort 1.9L it has spark the timing is ok it has a new crank sencor the starter is good and so is the altantor has new spark plugs but it will not start

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

From start to end troubleshooting these problems I suggest you to check the help link below and follow its procedure: -----

1999 ford escort zx2 cranks but won't start

As with any no-start issue, you will need to figure out if you have a problem with fuel pressure to the injectors, or spark to the plugs.
I would also check the computer for trouble codes.
Let me know what you find out.

1999 ford escort sport wont start turns over

Check all fuses first. Then have someone listen near the back wheel when you first turn the key to "on" they should hear a hum if the fuel pump is working. If not, you will need a pressure tester for the fuel system to check for pressure at the test port near the engine. If OK, check for spark and injector pulse (you'll need noid lights for the injectors). If fuel pressure is low or none, you need a pump (don't replace till you check to see if it's getting power). If no spark or injector pulse, you probably need a Crank Position Sensor.

93 ford escort starts okay. but dies at stops

I would start with the fuel filter. It sounds to me that you are not getting enough pressure through the filter to open the injectors. If that is not it, move on to the spark plugs, plug wires, air cleaner, etc......May need a good tune up. Then, worst case scenerio, catalytic converter may be getting plugged up.

Struggles to start , turns over untill battery goes flat

are you getting a spark?( take out plug and set against block, have some body turn it over. if you see a spark jump ok..out of gas? are you getting fuel to the throttlebody? are the injector spraying a fine mist? is the battery fully charged?

Ford Escort 1998 fuel pump not working.

good old ford lol, try looking at the crank sensor its located at the front of the engine tucked in right hand side of exhaust manifold and gearbox, two pin plug, i have also known these to have no end of faults with the fusebox.
easy to remove, and solder the connections inside they all suffer eventually, if your not to handy with cars i recommend taking to a auto electrician, easy if you know how. Good luck Davelee

2000 ford escort want start. starter turns over battery is charged fluids are full ,tried to jump start tried the fuses. made sure all wires are conneced. what now

Go back to the basics. Fuel, air, spark and timing. First off the battery has to be above 12 volts to diagnos properly. If the engine cranks over fast and stays cranking, then the battery should be ok for testing. Need to check for fuel pressure at the injector rail, normally 35 to 50 psi. If no fuel pressure, suspect fuel problem, filter , pump, electrical. Check for plugged air filter or restriction in air intake system. Also recommend a compression test , will tell you condition of the piston rings, valve seats and seal and timing of the camshaft. Last is to check for spark at the spark plug to determine an ignition problem. Once you have narrowed down the problem, it will be easier to fix.
