If, by the keyless entry system, you are referring to those "number buttons" under the door handle, you have to punch in the pre-set factory 5-digit code that came with the car. When you do that, you should hear/see the driver's door 'unlock.' If you want to change the 5-digit code to numbers of your own choosing (that will be easier for you to remember) you must enter in the factory code FIRST. There are only two places, according to the owner's manual--which I'm guessing you don't have--where you can find this 5-digit code. There is a sticker on the underside of the trunk lid, and there is a sticker on the wiring of the computer module under the padding in the left side of the trunk. If there are no stickers, the Lincoln dealer can hook you up to his diagnostic computer and TELL you what the code is--but they'll probably charge you for it. Try the cheap way first.

No it sounds like the lock linkage rods have come off, the plastic clips that hold then to the door latch from the door handle inside the door age and become brittle, then the lock release rod plastic end clip breaks. You will need to open up the door and remove the trim panles and replace those end clips, they are available from ford in right and left configurations.

The rear passenger door on 1993 lincoln contenental will not open neither from outside nor from inside but the pin goes up and down when operated by fob as well as unlock - lock button on the car

Ok this one is a tough one. If your handle on the outside does not work for some time, then the rod that attaches to the handle has most likely come loose. Your options are limited. I usually do not recommend the use of a slim jim. However in this case, a slim jim is an option. Inside your read door panel are three main rods. One rod moves the inside handle. The other rod moves the outside handle. The third rod is attached to the lock knob. Using the slim jim slide it into the door. Hook it onto one of the rods and pull up slightly. Try to see what is moving when you move the rod. If it is the inside handle or lock knob is moving, then find another rod that moves nothing. That will be the rod that should be attached to your outside handle. Lift up on that rod and it should open your door.
After you open the door, go ahead and take the time to fix your door, by removing the door panel and re-attaching the rod to the handle.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

94 continental power window problem

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to pull off the seal in order to see inside the door. There should be two bolts holding down the inside guide rail and two bolts holding down the outside guide rail

Window on passenger side will not come down need door panel instructions.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
