SOURCE: my speedo in my fto mivec as stopped working is it a easy repair?

If you have a speedo convertor/delimiter chip fitted (UK market mph) this is often the cause.

SOURCE: engine problem

The codes don't match up to the chart. Do the keydance again and see if there is any difference.

here's the codes http://www.2gnt.com/index.php?d=PCM%20Error%20Codes

24 (Throttle position sensor voltage does not agree with MAP)
14 (MAP sensor voltage too low/too high)
Points to the map sensor.

I've scanned a couple pages in my Haynes manual and uploaded them for you. These pages will help you check out the sensors.

More than likely it's the map sensor. I remember when i turboed my car i had major problems with the safc and the map sensor. It would act just like yours does. The ecu doesn't use the map sensor in closed loop mode. Open loop starts at 4000rpms and will start reading values from the map. If it is receiving values not in spec then it will limit the rpms and stay locked in closed loop.

Replace the map sensor and let me know how it turns out.

SOURCE: I have a 97 mivec colt,i crashed it and fixed it

Get your front end inspected. I bet something's binding in the suspension or in the steering components. Also, have someone make sure the frame isn't bent, which could cause your wandering. Lastly, get an alignment done. If tapping a curb while parking gently can mess up your vehicle's alignment, imagine what crashing it into something/someone does. Chances are you have front end repairs and an alignment ahead of you.

SOURCE: Rev limiter is at 6000rpm not 8500rpm

Hi Peter,

With such high revving engines (me being a Honda fanatic) you need to keep an eye on oil levels. Check the level, top up as necessary. Without the correct amount of oil in, the oil pressure cannot stimulate the switch over cam, which takes it to 8500rpm.

Also, please don't rev you car without load (ie. standing still), this causes valve lash and is detrimental to the engine. Again, please do not rev your car hard without letting the oil get up to temperature or it won't last long :)

Once you check your oil, reset the ECU by pulling the battery lead off for around 20 minutes.

Good luck and have a blast. Could you vote for me if this helps you. Thanks.

My Mitsubishi outlander 2.4 mivec 2005 model will not start after replacing head gasket.

Have you checked there is no water in the oil which could mean the head was not torqued properly.? If not perhaps an air suck probelem or a wiring problem.or check spark and fuel.

2004 Pacifica will not go past 2500 rpm. If you spray either while keeping throttle at 2500 the engine dies instead of revving up. ????

Have a diagnostics run on the car. That will yell you which sensor or other parts are misbehaving.

Blazer has no fuel pressure but pump kicks on

In the past I have seen fuel pumps that would run on the bench but wouldn't work in the gas tank. Sometimes you can bang on the gas tank and get the pump to start working, the problem is usually bad brushes. In the past I have cut open an electric fuel pump, those little brushes were wore down to the nub.
If you have good voltage and ground at the fuel pump and no pump action, suspect the fuel pump. Fuel filter is good, I didn't look to see if inline fuel filter? Fuel lines aren't clogged? Don't disconnect any fuel lines unless your sure, no fuel pressure.

Hi I have accord 96 when park temp guage past the

you can hook up your fan to a switch, fairly simple, auto zone would be able to explain it to you. so that when you turn on your car it automatically turns on and stays on, or so that you can turn on/off as you see fit. id probably have it run non-stop while car is going. i think they should all do that anyways, but they are trying to save you gas by having a sensor.

Lancer mivec 1.6 loses power at just over 5000rpm oil is fine, engine is warm

Check your oil pressure. Common problem to all 2nd gen MIVEC engine is in its oil sump. A dent could restrict the flow of the engine oil and will cause the engine pressure to drop whenever the MIVEC starting to kick. A low pressure means that the MIVEC system will not activate, hence the low power and no MIVEC "sound".
