SOURCE: My third gear grinds when i shift to third it

Has the transmission been serviced? A transmission oil change and lubricant additive may help, however, it sounds as though you have a 3rd gear synchronizer going bad. Verify the shift linkage is not worn and is secure at the shifter and transmission be for spending any cash. If the linkage is good and the fluid change does not help after 150 miles, you might want to visit your favorite transmission shop.
Good luck and let me know.

Gears grind when shifting

Sounds like the clutch needs adjusting or repairs. If there is more than 1 inch of free movement at the pedal then it needs adjusting.

Gears grind when shifting. want to know how to adjust the clutch

Some clutches are not adjustable, depends if it is hydraulicly operated or by cable.
the adjustment is usually down by the bell housing where the clutch lever is. It will have a cable attached to it with an adjustment or a little hydraulic cylinder, with or without an adjustment. Just adjust until the pedal has about one half to one inch of free play.

Car not shifting into second gear

If the car is grinding when going into reverse, you need to have the clutch bled or repaired.

If it goes into reverse with out grinding, I am sorry to tell you your problem is internal to the gearbox. Bad or damaged Syncro

Good luck
