99' lesabre starting problem

You can't do anything ,unless you have diagnostic computer . Check codes , program key etc.... Call a mobile lock smith or have towed to the dealer .

This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/

Battery is corroded, clean it and charge your Battery... Then see what happens...

A dead battery will not start a car

Hi I have a 1985 Buick Lesaber. I turn the key and get nothing a few times. Than I turn the key and the dash lights up and it starts. What do you think? Starter? Battery?

it's a light for the security system in your car.

The security system (VATS/PassKey) is faulty. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

you may have a shorted starter solenoid, check for 12 volts at the solenoid on the starter...

Does it have a chip in the key?

the security light flashes on mine also. i think its just normal. don't worry about it.

As far as bypassing the securtiy chip, we can't tell you that one as it would assist any user on here to steal your car (or others).
When you turn the key to attempt to start it do the dash lights dim or even go out ?
