Lights and speedometer acting weird

Went to start my 2003 ford ranger regular cab truck and battery was dead. Jumped it off and now lights flicker and speedometer indicates 10 miles per hour sitting in the driveway. The speedometer needle is shaking. Any idea what the problem could be?

Yes you have burned out the circuit to the speedo motor, did you jump it incorrectly???

Actually the Speedo is controlled by the PCM I would pull the NEGATIVE battery cable for 30 minutes and then hook it back up. this will reset the PCM.

2003 Ford Ranger hard to start when cold. must hold throttle open full and crank for a long time. starts normal after warmed up.

you may just have a weak battery, or a battery that is not designed for the cold. I would recommend having your battery test at your local autoparts store.

I have a 1999 ford ranger 2 wheel drive automatic

Sometimes this works, ABS light on, check engine light on, speedometer not working, and the automatics start shifting hard or not shifting at all? One bolt and the part is cheap, its weird how one part controls so much.

Ford ranger wont start

first of all make sure battery is fully charged auto zone will test batteries for free but if you can get it jumped and running while it is running take the positive side cable off the battery and if it dies then it is the alternator and also look at the condition of the drive belt but if you do all this and the truck does not start spray very little starter fluid in the throttle body if it starts ask yourself when was last time I changed the fuel filter and also have someone to be back by the gas tank to see if you can hear the pump and check out the fuel pump relay which is normally under the hood on the drivers side before changing the fuel pump

2003 ford ranger battery light comes on

i think it is the alternator because the idiot light is connected to your regulator of your alternator. it is an indication that your alternator is not charging anymore.
