Tip & How-To about 1996 Lincoln Town Car

Got a new or used vehicle gas cap seems to always be on the wrong side.

On almost all vehicles it will be a little arrow showing what side the gas cap is on on the side of the gas gage on the dash Don't think so go have a look you will be surprised 90% of all vehicles have the little triangle arrow.

My bet even though you didn't post the make and year of vehicle, that you have a ground problem. Not to mention other loose connections. Please provide and update of the vehicle.

Oil pressure on my 1996 Dodge Ram pickup is running low even though my oil level is fine

have the oil pressure checked with an independent gage as sometimes gages in the dash don`t show correct pressure. how long has it been since the oil was changed as oil when it gets dirty it thins out and can affect oil pressure. if you don`t hear any ticking with the motor running chances are the pressure is either good or just a little low. testing oil pressure with an independent gage will tell the tale.

1980 Dodge D150 has dual gas tanks....where is the switch to go from 1 tank to the other and then will the amount of gas in the 2nd tank show on the gas gage?

Most of them are under the left side of the driver's seat. Sometimes there is an electrical switch on the dash for the gauge portion.

fuel gage not working

Could be the sending unit in the tank, or the gauge on the dash. A mechanic would check the signal from the sending unit at the tank.
