99 camery solara...ratlingnoise front left wheel,

Strut tops are a common failure on the 97-01 era Camry/Solaras.

They will make a hollow rattle sound whenever you hit bumps or uneven pavement.

They can be replaced one at a time, and do not require strut replacement if your old struts are still in good shape.
Replacement does require a strut compressor and an alignment afterwards, placing it outside the scope of most do-it-yourselfers.

It is labeled "suspension support" in the following diagram. The bearing below it is typically replaced at the same time.

The air conditioner it is no working, what can I

The AC will not function if there is no freon in the system. Raise th hood, and locate a grey cap on a silver aluminum line. Unscrew the cap. You will see a small valve, like on a tire. Using a sharp instrument, like a nail, press on the center of the valve, slightly, and see if any gas pressure escapes. Please do not have your face over the valve, you could get the pressure in your eyes, use suitable eye protection. If no gas escapes, you either have a hole in the condensor, or a leaking o-ring on the tubing.

What all does a/c service include?

Is the A/C cooling and seem normal? I would not have the A/C serviced unless there is a problem. There is a filter for the refrigerant but the dealer has to discharge the system to replace it then recharge the system...total waste of money since the filter is in a closed system and if the A/C is working properly anyway.

The Solara may have a cabin air filter like my Camry had...it was behind the glove box, but check your owners manual for the replacement procedures. That is about the only thing you need to change for the A/C. If it is not as cool as it was last year, take it to a good repair shop (not dealer) and have them recharge the system. You can buy recharge cans at auto parts stores with an indicator on them and do it youself...just follow the directions on the can.

The air filter is easy to replace...is is usually at the front of the engine compartment in a plastic box. Unclip or unscrew the lid and remove the old one and slip in the new one.

2004 toyota solara

(!) is the tire pressure indicator. Generally means one or more tires is significantly below the set tire pressure. The indicator on my 2004 Solara comes on and goes off all the time even though the tire pressure is the same on all four tires and I have reset the indicator.

Check the pressure on your tires and if they are all at the recommended pressure turn your ignition on and hold the tire pressure reset button in until the (!) blinks 3 times. That will set the pressure. The button is on the lower part of the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

2004 Toyota Solara Healight adjustment

Look at the back side of the headlamp assembly. There are a couple of ears that stick out, right above a small silver toothed wheel. Using a suitably long phillips screwdriver, insert the driver down into the 2 small ears, and then the screwdriver should contact the small toothed wheel. The ears provide the proper support for the screwdriver to mesh with the toothed gear. Spin the screwdriver, and the toothed gear should spin, also. Rotate the driver in whatever direction to adjust the lamp beam. This will gibe you what you need. Hope this helps; any questions; please repost.

I have a toyota solara 2001 with 180,000 miles and i have spent about $400 on repair since i bought it new. It's the best car ever and beleive it or not, he is right there, but it isn't a piece of plastic, it's a shift lock, which runs about $400 to fix from the dealer. I got my replaced when i broke it trying to park on down hill..
