mechanical pumps do not have a relay what the carby does have is a solenoid controlled idle circuit and you need to give it some accelerator to start if that solenoid is not operational check for power to that solenoid with the switch in the run position remove the fuel line at the carby and turn the engine over to see if the pump is working

look at the inside of your throttle body to see if the air flap is opened enough to let air in without you holding the gas paddle down.

Either fuel filter needs replacign or car need cleaning. One other possibality, fuel pump pressure low. .

make sure all filter r clean or new

sounds like timing belt or chain has broke or maybe a timing gear. I would not advise trying to start it if this is the problem because you run the risk of bending the valves. TRY this to determine if it is the timing. Take cap off off valve pan cover " where you put the oil in " and using a flash light look down into the hole and have someone try to start it. IN most cases if the timing is out wou will see no movement of the rocker arms....hope this helps and good luck....
