youre going to need to take it to either a hummer dealer or a reputable and trusted transmission shop. these are general motors transmissions and do not cost a lot to rebuild. the only difference in price is whether on this year you have the 350cid gas or 6.5 na motor. wish i had better news but remember that transmission is constantly trying to move 8500lbs. service every 15- 20,000 miles. let me know if further assistance is necessary. i am certified with am general.

That error light is triggered when the TCM encounters a hardware failure - a part inside the transfer case has actually failed. No amount of fiddling with the commands will fix that.
You need to have the error codes read, they will give you a general idea on what has failed. Only after knowing that you can decide what must be done to fix it.

Good day. Please check that all fan and V bellts are in place. Your power steering pump runs with a belt, and the brakes could be of the hydraulic type. Check your power steering pump for failure if all else fails. Hope this helps

by law all obd2 connecters are to be under the dash on the drivers side about center. maybe a a little left or right of the steering column

air getting in fuel supply system.or the injection pump is defective.idle speed could be too low.

it is very common to do so however as a h1 tech myself i do not recomend such. it was by design that these monsoon systems drown out some of the decibles created by the diesel engine. if you still decide to do so i can get my manual out of storage and tell you which one are which. email me at [email protected]

most newer cars and trucks do not require trans fluid change, there called non serviceible transmission but the best thing i have done is the powerflush it only really good for newer cars like ours

Hi,it's possible that you have a plugged tranny cooler in the radiator.Try putting an external cooler on,which is something you should probably have anyway especially if you do any towing.Good luck,

The numbers for the HMMWV or M-998 should have been on a data plate on the dash or B-pillar (where the door latch is). Do you need a TM (Army shop manual)? What are you trying to get done. I will be happy to help in any way possible. The reason you can not find it is because they were designed to be repaired in the field if necessary to include frame rails, whole bodies and power trains.

Did you clean the battery posts? A dirty connection will cause a loss of charging. If the conections are clean have your battery tested at a local auto parts store.
