Makes no diff left or right turn, there's one flasher under the dash next to steering columb. Possibly in the fuse panel, but I don't think so. Turn the switch on and flip the signal, listen for the relay/flasher to be clicking. That's the easy way to find it. Even if all you can do is feel the unit flashing. Pull it down and change it. Just plugs into the accessory block.

No spark just means when you connected the wiring plugs, you either missed the one to the distributor or it isn't plugged all the way in.

This is typically done over a couple days of normal driving, but can be forced in a matter of minutes by doing step by step functions such as accelerating to "X" mph for "X" seconds, coming to a stop, then accellerating again, stopping, turning off ignition for a set period of time and so forth. follow the cable from the gas pedal it should be on the other side of the rod with 2 screws holding it to the throttle plate with a 3 wire harness to it

The only thing I can recommend is going to the place where you're going to buy them from and get their recommendations. AutoZone will usually provide you with a pictorial of the job your brother will be undertaking. Make sure to get a lot of WD-40 to loosen them nuts---not an easy task after 10 years of dirt, grease and grime. Let 'em soak in WD-40 for a while before trying to get them loose. Been there, done that.

sounds like drl unit under dash near kick pad behind the fuse box near firewall grey or black box usally shorts out if you can turn on the lights with the light switch they should work if not you could have 2 problems drl unit and dimmer switch

clutch wont affect power... just power distribution... unless the clutch is slipping your problem lies elsewhere.
