charge the battery?? or jump the car.. could be a dirty battery connection, not enough power getting to starter

its the drivers door latch one of the switches change the latch

Do a cylinder leak down test,for bad valves on #3 or head gasket,misfires for a reason (Cam Worn ?) Have to get rid of any misfires If your taking out 20% your correcting for a rich condition,maybe Some injector issues,old,need to be sent away for cleaning & flow testing or replaced? Drive it for 30 miles & add short & long term & see what you get Exhaust Converter any good ?

So I literally just had the same problem. I came out from church and my car would start. Everything seemed in order...it just wouldn't engage the starter. I tried everything until I went under the hood and began pulling fuses, it was the 20 amp 'horn stop' fuse was blown...I replaced it and immediately my alarm started going off...then blew the 20 amp I put in...replaced it with a 30amp and then disarmed with the key in the door...car started right up.

The ignition switch sends voltage through a fuse and maybe a relay, through t switch in the transmission (or clutch) that checks the gear to the starter solenoid which clicks. That's the sound of the solenoid connecting large contacts that can handle the large amount of current needed to start the car. What part of that scenario is missing? Can you hear the click? Is the linkage, clutch or their corresponding switches activating/bad? There can also be a click if there's a relay, but usually the click from the start solenoid is usually loud enough that you'd hear it. The large solenoid contacts get burnt in time and it needs to be replaced; even though they're large they get burnt from carrying such a heavy current through them.

check for coolant level in the radiator indicates insufficient coolant level

They should be on top of dashboard by driver side close to bottom. If not here, check inside driver door frame for sticker.

Check while idling in park. Smell to see if fluid smells burnt. Replace if it does.

cigarette lighter sockets only work with the ignition in accessories or run position check for fuse blown

There should be a fuse for it take it out.

It's almost always attached to the transmission where the linkage for the transmission hooks up follow the cable from the shifter to the transmission and you'll be staring at the switch.

It's held down with bolts or big nuts where where the spark plugs go in.

Check the fans and thermosensor.
