Have water in the passenger floorboard

Your vehicle has an evaporator drain tube which can clog causing the condensate water to retain and drip from the housing onto the carpeting.I have seen almost everything known to man find their way into this tube .The strangest to date for me was a mouse that used this tube as an entry to his new condo and apparently went in and out successfully a few times by evidence of dwelling in the actual evaporator housing.

Hi,

The air filter is in a black plastic holder with 4 latches attached to a big black corrugated plastic pipe with a funny looking silver box attached to it. Unsnap the latches, lift off the top cover, and remove the air filter cartridge. Hold the cartridge up to sunlight---can you see the sun through it? If not--replace it (bring the thing with you to the car parts store to get the right replacement. Hope that helps you. Replace in reverse procedure. :)

Its an R plate S40

It is possible that your fuel regulator is leaking.

On the throttle assembly, there should be a few vacuum hoses attached. Pull those off and shake it a bit to see if there is any fuel coming out of it.

If it is...there should be an updated fuel pressure regulator.

Also you should replace the Idle Air Control Valve which is located near the front to bottom side of the throttle assembly.

When the fuel pressure regulator leaks, it causes a rich mixture and also damages the Idle Air Control Valve.

Both of which I have seen cause a hard start, lack of power, and blue smoke.

One more thing to look into are a set of coils, wires and plugs.

I've seen the coils get hairline cracks which causes the electricity to fire the spark plugs to arc out and not fire off the plugs efficiently, which ultimately causes lack of power and blue smoke.

Cd player console

I am a volvo s40 owner myself.
Try to eject all of the CDs at once. To do so keep the eject button pressed for a few seconds. this will eject the CDs one by one.

The temperature of the air conditioner is probably changing because of the outside temperature change. eg if the temperature outside is 35C and you set the temp inside at 25C it will come out cold air. if the temperature outside drops to 30C the air will come out hotter. you will notice that between summer and winter. the same temperature set will give either cold or hot depending on the weather.
in winter if you set it at 25C it will be very hot. In summer it will be cold.
