Sorry this happened to you. Your best repair would be to find the parts in a Salvage yard. By doing this, all of the connections would be plug-in and in the proper sequence. You would have the expense of the repair wire sections anyway and if you piece-meal all the damaged wires together you could have constant connection problems. Plus if any of the wires are melted in unseen areas, there could be more problems.There is a good Salvage yard site called Car-parts.com. It is Nationwide and gives you prices, photos, and all contact information for the parts. Some yards will offer warrantees. They ship to your house.You may find places in driving distance from your home.The Autozone website has Help sections at the bottom of the page. They need to be navigated between free and paid info. They have diagrams for the wiring. You will need to register on the site for free and you can look up 12 vehicles.Also check your fuses as the wires may have crossed and broke a fuse.

this sounds like Low fuel pressure is the cause this can be caused by a few things (1) clogged fuel filter(2) defective fuel pump(3) defective or disconnected fuel regulator

For spray to be on surrounding parts and burning off I would think that a pressure hose has split probably near the fitting. If it is a return hose which is low pressure then the filter must be blocked creating pressure.. Check that the filter is not inside the reservoir under the cap.. Try running the engine and have some one see if the fluid is coming out when the wheels are moved from lock to lock

If you call a Ford dealership, a kind mechanic will tell you, or you can purchase a Haynes Manual and it will have the schematics for the fuse boxes for your model and year.

If you are running the ac most of the time, it could be water that is not draining onto the ground thru the drain tube.

Is the fuse box for 2005 ford taurus the same as the 06,07? and mine has remote for the keys.

If it's just for maintenance and not a specific failure you would change the spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, maybe have an upper intake cleaning too.

You can't know anything until you have the system completely evacuated and recharged with the exact weighed charge of refrigeration. Forget those death kits you buy in the stores. This needs to be done with professional equipment. AC repair is really not a DIY job. It required very extensive knowledge of refrigeration to recognize issues.
