Oil pump ford explorer
No that is not the pump that you smell. You need to have a test gauge hooked up to verify that you have good oil pressure, if it is ok then replace the sending unit for the oil pressure gauge.

more than likely a front input or counter-shaft bearing has failed,possibly due to inadequate oil level or improper oil grade or type,usaally this problem can be attributed to a failed seal condition which can cause dry bearing operation!!!!
Clogged fuel line
How do you know that it is clogged? There are several possibilities. There is an Inertia switch which shuts off fuel pump power. Do you hear a fuel pump running when the key is turned on? The fuel pump also has a Relay.
Has the fuel pump filter been replaced? The filter may be blocked. The tank also has a plastic internal screen which can break down and clog the pump intake.
Depending on where you live, below freezing temperatures can form ice in the lines. A product called "Heet" can melt this.
Fix oil leak
might be from the back of the valve cover area..that runs down the back of most engines...
Rpm cannot go up
Faults AFM or MAF sensor. Afm: aif flow meter Maf: manifold air flow.

P0171 and P0174 are identical except for the sensor locations. For both to appear at the same time, a common source is likely. Go to the following URL and read the various descriptions:
