Check ford wreckers. Ring around and state the year /make/ model and what you want. Also check Nissan for the same year as some fords are rebadged Nissan pathfinders vehicles and have most of the parts as common items.
Transmission out of sync
I see no one has tried to help. I am interpreting your problem as the Shift indicator shows the wrong gear. The pointer usually has a slotted opening with a screw locking the pointer to keep the pointer locked in the proper position. In this scenario, the pointer just needs to be physically reset. You will need to remove any panels covering this pointer.Scenario 2 , Trans was locked in Park. Someone tried to force gearshift to move when Brake pedal was not stepped on and they stretched the shift components. May have stripped old parts beyond adjustment.Scenario 3, Does not shift gears correctly while underway. Can be due to shift solenoids in transmission or connector to same solenoids. The flasher relay is on the top side of the fuse box which is located
under the dash on the driver's side. In order to gain access to the
relay, the fuse panel must be removed. The owner's manual

dude its a vaccumn leak in the intake system all the symptoms fit// take a water hose turn it on litely start your engine run memorize the way it runs take a few minutes and notice the way it runs then ad the water from the hose along the intake and associated parts best when engine is not that hot if it changes the way it runs it needs a gasket set in the intake if the top half is plastic then just try the top gaskets
