The 4.3 is a great engine...you have spark,now look at the fuel supply..

Take your VIN# to a dealership and they will be able to pull your code.

Well -doing that sort of takes out the PCV System doesn't it Unmetered air comes in the oil fill hole & gets drawn into the intake & leans out the fuel mix You also got PCV system issues with high vacuum

no problem...you take off the cover in the middle of the steering wheel being able to access the bolt to remove the steering wheel. If you don\'t have a steering wheel puller you can rent one from a auto parts store but i just leave the steering wheel bolt on a few threads and hit it with a hammer pulling back on the steering wheel. It should come off after 4 or 5 hits. then take out the blinker assembly (couple phillip screws). Sonow you have access to the pin. If you can\'t get that pin out with a needle nose or plan on putting it back in then you\'ll have to dig in deeper. There ya go for the short versioin. Don\'t listen to people when they say jerk the wheel really hard to break that pin, you;ll just end up breaking other things and don\'t think ya need that. but taking out that pin wont do anything (the only thing behind it is a spring) Good luck.

to change the pump , the fuel was drained out so do you put it back and then prime the pump? test for fuel pressure. if non, then check for 12vdc at pump wires cranking no 12v, you blew a fuse if 12v good, the pump is bad or cant pump air, needs to be primed. we check fuel pressure after every pump change;. after all , that is and was the whole point of a new pump. right. so check it. over 30psi, (see FSM for full spec)

It could be the switch motor if it is manual then it could be a bad transfer case either way you can check buy simply crawling under it and try to engage it buy hand

also do not use 5w oil use heavier viscosity oil 15w40 or 20w will help keep oil pressure up

check if starter has power by arcing solenoid, it may be the ignition switch or wire
