posible bad relay stuck

It does not have a carburetor, its fuel injected. Chk, fuel pump pressure, fuel pump status, fuel filter, and make sure its not out of fuel. if all is ok, injectors for correct function.... noid lights or stethoscope. check cylinder balance for ignition.

Before you change the switch, do you have high speed only on your fan? If so you probably need a fan speed relay instead

Check for vacuum leaks n (broken or leaking hoses; gaskets), bad EGR valve (plugged or stuck open) or raw gas running into the intake manifold (leaking fuel injector(s) or bad carb).

sure, IN USA. the FSM shows, that (factor service manual) or alldata.com . what is best is the schematic. this is the world wide web and GM exports cars and trucks and all are wired differently (laws in your country,etc) 1960-2000 United States (see alldata.com for fast answer) 1965-2000 Canada 1964-2001 Brazil

If the connector fits inside the unit, on one side of the connector there is a tiny lever that has to be pushed toward the center of the connector, simultaneously pulling the connector out. If the connector is outboard of the unit (at least the depth of the connector itself) there is a lever on one side of the connector that has to be pulled outward slightly while pulling the connector. Being a '96 (been connected for many years), it could take some serious force to pull the connector away

It is in the fuel tank.

Starter Solenoid? Probably a power issue, something is not connected correctly.

Do you have power in and out of the hazard flasher ?
