1995 Nissan Quest has no power when accelerating and has trouble reversing uphill and driving uphill from park

When was the last time you did routine maintenance like sparkplugs, air filter, transmission fluid, etc?
These can impact performance as they age and wear/deteriorate.

My 1995 nissan quest overdrive light comes on when i start it and it wont go in drive but will 2nd gear, sometime on can turn the van off and restart and it will go in drive and shift ok but it shifts

Sounds like the sensor for first gear. The transmission comes with a shift sensor for each shift: if 4 shift, 4 sensor (including reverse). Have somebody check the sensors and the cpu for the tranny. They go hand to hand.

I have 1995 Nissan Quest. The car was running good. It has engine and Transmission mounts cracked. So I replace it and now the car will not start. When I turn on the key, I can hear the continues ratt

Get a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual for this make/model/year. It has a procedure with pics for doing mount r&r and can tell you the most common mistakes people make when doing this procedure. The troubleshooting guide can also lead you down repair paths you might not have thought of.

I cannot see how to remove the mechanical portion of the ignition switch assembly on a 1995 Nissan quest. to be The car will not turn off with the key. It will start, but not turn off

At the column, where the lock set goes into. There be a small hole or slot. Turn the key to the run position(sometimes slightly past) and insert a paper clip/ small screwdriver in the hole and push down as you pull out the lock set. The lock set has a spring loaded tab in it to keep it from coming out.

'95 nissan quest stalled at a stop. Will not start, only cranks

I worked on a '93 Quest last year. Couldn't find out why it wouldn't start. It was the distributor shaft not held onto its rotating gear. The roll pin had come out of the gear on the end of the distributor shaft. When the distributor cap was off, the rotor was turning with the shaft while the engine was cranking. So I thought that was okay. But when I put my finger on the rotor and it stopped turning, that is when I found out the problem. It's a stretch, but maybe the techs missed it. Take the cap off, and if you can spin the rotor either way just by hand, the distributor gear has come loose. Looks like they really covered a lot. I suppose next they will you to replace the ecu. Good luck.

Have you tried standard tuneup parts, such as spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor? You may have contaminated fuel.
