2004 GTO, won't start and remotes quite working

This sounds like an Alarm issue witht he information you posted. If you had an Alarm installed after you bought the vehicle disconnect the power wire to the alarm and see if the vehicle will start, disconnecting the alarm power wire will stop the alarm kill switch from interfering with your vehicle starting. This assumes that the vehicle is at least turning over. If it's not turning over at all, try jumping the vehicle by disconnecting the battery positive terminal and connecting the jumper cable directly to the positive cable and a good ground. If the vehicle cranks like that you have dead cells in your battery and the battery needs to be replaced. If it still doesn't crank try using jumper cable to apply direct power to the starter from the positive terminal to verify that the starter is working. If the starter works and the battery is good you have a bad solenoid or ignition switch. You will have to test both individually.

Key will not turn

where your front wheels turned at a sharp angle when you shut off car-the locking system may be have pressure on it-try pulling or rocking the steering wheel back and forth while applying pressure to the key-you may be able to feel the key trying to move-put more pressure on the steering wheel in that direction-hope this helps-cheers Denny
