Will a 2008 yukon run with a missing fuel pump

{: ) Yes, if the vehicle is equipped with a Fuel Pump Flow Control Module (FPCM). The FPCM is located underneath the vehicle, left side chassis, near the Electronic Brake Control Module. Sometimes, when you check fuse and relays at the underhood fuseblock, you can still see labels and alloted space for the fuel pump fuse and relay. But the circuit is actually internally omitted or modified inside the fuseblock if the vehicle is using FPCM. An FPCM controlled fuel systems doesn't have fuel pump relay at the fuseblock, and instead you may find a FSCM fuse 20amp which gives battery power to the FPCM.

Took car in 4 times.

My 08 GMC Yukon XL died 3 weeks after I drove it off the lot brand new! They said they replaced the computer but in the last two years its been in the shop 8 times for the same symptoms yours has... Tried to go the lemon law route and they gave me 5k towards another car but I had to pay the lawyer half of that. The problem now is that the service records show how many times its been in the shop so I cant sell or trade it without getting screwed!!!

2008 yukon no electric power at all

Have you checked the battery? You need to make sure the battery terminals are cleaned and you are getting current out of the wires. You need a voltage meter to test this current. You have a bad connection somewhere and we need to find it. Can you get to one?

How do I replace the driver's side headlamp?

Lift the hood and remove the bulb from the inside rear of the headlamp. The bulb assembly has ears on it that you use to unscrew the bulb. Look at the autozone link below to see the bulb. Installation is reverse of removal. Note: DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS!! They are halogen bulbs and will burnout.

Make sure the car is in park if its an auto and not running with the hand brake on. try it now if nothing then it may have some kind of safety mechanism to stop you putting into 2 wheel. Do you have a user manual?.

A friend changed a battery on a 08 fmc Yukon and

Likely just poor connections; Take the battery terminals and clamps; sand them down to shiny and tighten them up and maybe give them a shot of wd40 for good measure(it is supposed to absorb moisture).
