More info is needed like is it cold there, where your at, how was it running before now, has it been happening, loss of power check engine light could mean a lot of things, even bad fuel water in fuel plugged exhaust, can you accelerate while in park?

Sounds like the catalytic converter is clogged. Disconnect or loosen it, then see if the problem still exists. If that corrected the problem, get another converter.

P1226 is kind of a generic code for the 2kd engine that says something is wrong in fuel system. Start by having filter changed then probably check fuel injectors for problem if it persist.

If you look in the engine bay where the upper radiator hose comes in towards the motor under the black cover over the top of the motor, the thermostat is likely in the aluminum housing that this hose goes into , 2-4 bolt removal, take the hose off prior, and remove it and the thermostat. Relatively easy.

Poss temp sending switch or coolant sensor NG. Have computer scanned & readings on sensors read. Check coolant, make sure up to level.

air filter would be my first look.
