When you do this you can look up NHTSA reports and Service bulletins to see if there is a fix for a recall. Or use another bolt, grade 8, to replace the bolt you broke. You may have to be creative to fit the new bolt inside the frame or use an even longer bolt and drill another hole on the outside of the frame and just put the new bolt completely through both sides of the frame.
