What browser do you use? Have you tried to use any other browsers, or deleting the cache / cookies for that browser? Even specifically just twitter's cookies may fix this.

To create an account:

1. Go to http://twitter.com and find the sign up box, or go directly to https://twitter.com/signup.
2. Enter your full name, email address, and a password.
3. Click Sign up for Twitter.
4. On the next page, you can select a username (usernames are unique identifiers on Twitter) - type your own or choose one we've suggested. We'll tell you if the username you want is available.
5. Double-check your name, email address, password, and username.
6. Click Create my account.You may be asked to complete a Captcha to let us know that you're human.
7. Twitter will send a confirmation email to the address you entered on sign up, click the link in that email to confirm your email address and account.

It sounds like until you remember the email you used on the old account, you're stuck.

Sorry but there is no way you can sign up for twitter from you mobile as it checks for the availability of username as you type in, and that's possible when you are on the computer.
Twitter can be used through mobile but registering with twitter through mobile is not possible as of now.

Go to twitter.com and sign up for an account. They will give you a little introductory guide too.

Guns can be used by terrorists, but we don't stop using those.  Twitter is just as dangerous as somebody sending an email to a mailing list.  It's all media hype.

Simply log in using your twitter user id and password, if you don't have one, create one here http://twitter.com/. Then click "Home" and type in the box under the words "What are you doing," then click "Update." There you go!

You will need to change your password:

1. From the sign in page on either twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com, Twitter for Android or Twitter for iPhone, select the Forgot password?
2. Enter your email address, phone number, or Twitter username.
3. Choose the email address you where you want to receive the password reset email.
4. Check your email inbox. Twitter will immediately send a message to your account's email address.
5. Click the reset link in that email.
6. Choose a new password.

Twitter limit's how many people you can follow at a certain time, to help limit spam accounts. You may be able to contact Twitter Support or wait a day or two and see if it changes.
