Exact issue that I have. I tested the phone with a multi meter and it shows only 0.02v (ac) while plugged in with not battery on. The battery also shows 0.02v. The phone is not charging correctly causing the red light. I don't know why or how this happened. The battery should be 3.4v and should charge at that same voltage but it's not!
