If you have the wireless controller, try replacing the batteries and go from there, if thats not it, then it could be a wiring problem if the controller has been banged around alot or played (ahem) rather enthusiasticley.

Click the little button on the receiver. Then press the playstation button on the guitar (usually twice).

Question, are they wireless guitars or are they corded? If they are wireless, try switching the wireless cards on the playstation where the cord slot is. But use the same guitar with the different card. Thats how I was able to solve my same problem.

If that is the only game this is happening on then it is probably the disc. Take it to a local Play N Trade store and they should be able to fix it. If what your saying is also happening on other games then your PS2 needs an adjustment or cleaning. A local Play N Trade store can fix that also

I have two possible soultions for you.

1.Your batteries might be dead inside the controller. Go buy some rechargeable batteries and the adapter to go with them to charge them up when they go dead.

2.Your controller might have a short somewhere inside the controller. Take it back where you got it from and exchange it for another one.

there is a swittch on the side of the reciever it might be off turn it on

make sure youhave both the guitar and the wireless control plug is turned on. it the problem persists tryturing on your ps2 with it open then close it click browser and a cd with your memory card should show up click the cd and try detecting your guitar that way

Yes. the red button has a short you need to send it back to the manufacturer and get you a new one before it goes completely out. Mine did the same thing and thats what they told me

I think its because the guitar is not compatible with the PS2 and thats why you are having problems just buy another with PS2 compatibility at any retail store

Held the start button on the controller down for 7 seconds to turn off the controller.

have u tryed cleaning the player with the cleaning disc?

when it doesn't blink it means its connected if you notise when you push a button it will flash on the chip

well if other controlers work on on your PS2 then it will not be the console (have u checked this)?
if no light on receiver try in another PS2 if you can
If still no light then you can try and open the receiver and find the broken wire in it to make it work
or take it into a repair shop is simple part would b easy to find the problem and fix

What a pain, but what can you do? Good luck trying to contact Redoctane, they are out until 01/05/09 and will probably be swamped with calls.
At my wits end. Tried all the "fixes" for this system short of taking things apart. Kids are really depressed that they cannot play with it, so what are my options?

If you have a wireless controller then i dont know what to do but if it has a wire then the wireless guitar probably is'nt reaching the sensor.
