you have to register it to the ps3 by hooking it up to the usb cable 1st. Then it work from then on.

You should be able to buy them at redoctane.net, though as of now the site is down for maintenance.

The guitar kit for the PS2 has a small black box with a button on it to initiate sync, and connects via a short USB cable. I was missing this when I purchased my guitar. If you bought it new I would return/exchange it.

Try turning off your guitar and pushing and holding the button on the receiver in for 5 to 10 secs. Turn on guitar and they should be sync'd. If that doesn't work, turn off PS2 disconnect from power supply for a minute or so, plug everything back in and sync the receiver and the guitar again.

Hi there,

Your RedOctane Guitar should also have a slot for plugging in a USB Cable. Plug that into the Guitar and one end and the console on the other. This will get you going again until you find the receiver.

Pretty cheap on ebay I would say under $15.
