Water is not heating up..
Is it gas or electric? Have you checked the temp settings? Have you checked the tank's power(or gas) supply?

I just
sounds like you have a power problem. or worst than that a leak . So lets look at the leak first. Turn off the water supply at the water heater on top. This valve should be on the cold side of the heater on top.
Turn it off, check and see if you have pressure in the house by turning on a faucet. It should run for a second then stop. That is good if it does. Leave the valve off on the heater and check that your breaker is on. Reset the breaker by turning it on and off.
Wait about 2 hours turn the heater back on and check to see how hot the water is hot then you might have a leak in the building. If there is not or little hot water. Check the wires where it connects to the water heater. You might only have one wire that is connected right.
The best thing to do is to get a amo meter and check to see if you have 220 if you dont have 220 you will not warm up the water the way it should.
Thanks Richard
No hot water
what kind of heater ? if its gas the premier has a thermocouple that is kinda hard to get your hands on,almost need to go to the dealer for parts.
I need the elements for water heaters premier
call the manufacter direct, they will usually have the part that you need. Be very careful of the plastic container hold the element inside. The break very easily, then you will have to replace the whole tank
How do you chage the thermal coupler
You buy a new one, unscrew the old one and install the new one, What is important is to not kink the tubing, and the location near the pilot, install the new one same adjustment (location) as the old one and you should be good to go.
No water at all coming from the hot water
If it is at least a 30 gallon tank it has two thermostats One behind each door. They are ajustable and you should be able to cycle then on and off with a small screwdriver. Went finished,if they both worked set them on the same value. With a volt meter,if test lamp, see that you have rated voltage coming into the tank. Turn off the electricity, Disconnect the wires for the heater eliments (one behing and usually placed under the theromostates and the with a battery type test light, if you have not an ohm meter . Check across each one. Light should light dimly. Brightly means that the eliment is shorted . No light indicates that the eliment is open. No or bright either one replace the eliment. That is about all their is too it . Fairly simple design.
