its seem that it require service of your printer, also if you dont want go to technition then try to clean the decorder strip (which looks like a transparent strip back of the cartrige side).

you might confirued wrong paper setting on print preview of scan document or try to change the size of the paper to A4 or letter

Remove the print cartridges, and close the cartridge carrier lids. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet. If the power button button is not lit, press power button. Reinsert the print cartridges.If the error does not reappear, the problem has been corrected.If the problem reappears, one of the cartridges is not working properly. Please disconnect the printer cable and then connect back to the computer. If not working, please uninstall printer driver and install it back.

The lexmark 3500-4500 series is a ip so one the device is conncted (ypu should assign it a fixed ip address from yourrouter) you should be able to find it in network printers
