Has the program been installed on your machine before and you lost it? If not, you will need to install the program. Do you know whether the print work fine from your computer? If yes, you will only need to install the program. If not, you will need to install printer too. In the meantime, click all Start, Program or all Programs, Lexmark 8300 series, and Productivity Suite. If you don't see this, it means it has never been installed.
Let me know so that I can show you how to get the software if you don't have a software CD with you, and how to install it. Thanks

If you have win 7 or vista ..go to paint click on file there you will the option to scan click on it then once the doc. is scanned click on save as then at the bottem chech .pdf as the file type

If your computer doesn't automatically find the driver then you can manually update it. You can download drivers for Lexmark x422 using the link below. Just select the right operating system.

if you go to lexmark web site and download driver for your printer 1200 and should be for the OS(e.g. XP/Win7). Hope it will work.

Lexmark 6500 Series (WiFi) Mac Driver can be located and installed as a previously set up printer if you used it with another computer or OS:

I hope this will solve the problem. If you have a problem go to the Applications folder/ Lexmark for the wireless set up. You will need the printers print cable, USBed to your computer and follow the directions. Good luck.

Unfortunately there are no Windows 7 drivers for that printer. Here is a link to a page with past drivers:

On this page there is a section about Lexmark and Windows 7 support. I checked the list and verified that they don't support that printer with Windows 7.

If your disk is missing, you can always download the software for your printer.
Just click here to download the software for your pinter, but make sure you choose the correct Operating System of your computer.
