How can i i install the sockets in the wall?

Normally there is a box in the wall with the wires contained therein. I would then connect the wires to the appropriate screws and then align the screws on the socket to the box that is in the wall and tighten them. Then I would put on a cover plate and call it finished. If the box is not in the wall then go to a big box store and get a rework box, the sales people will be glad to help you.

Instructions to replace pull chain for Leviton Plastic Lampholder model 8827CW2

I believe it is cheaper just to replace it then try to get the parts! You may be able to take it apart and salvage it by using what is leftr of the old pull chain but I am not sure.

LEVITON 7090-BR LAMPHOLDER 3 TERMINALS

I need to ask you for a bit more information. Ordinarily a socket for a 3-way lamp has two external connections, one of which goes to power (black is the standard color) and one which connects to the neutral wire (white is the standard color). The other wire commonly encountered in house wiring is green, which is a ground connection. Lamps normally do not use a ground. The Levitron web page does not flag this socket to be anything out of the ordinary, but neither do they show the connections. So please provide any additional information that you can on this socket. Is it meant to hold a single, 3-way incandescent bulb, or is it for a florescent bulb? Is it meant for a special purpose?

Does not completely turn off

If switch is electric, it might not be rated for type of bulb. Check rating label for switch... try incandescent bulb. Otherwise there might be short circuit causing bleed-over of power going to light bulb. http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-household-electricity.html Gene h If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gene_9f0ef4df2f9897e7

IN THE OLD DOUBLE SWITCH I REPLACED WITH THE 5224,

The switch is wired backwards. Swap sides with the wires.

If you look closely at the switch you will see that one side has 2 screws that are joined together with a metal tab. _That_ is the side that gets the hot wire, pick a screw, it doesn't matter which one as long as you don't break off that tab.

On the other side of the switch you will see that the 2 screws are _not_ joined together with a metal tab. _Those_ are the screws that connect to each individual switch leg.

Single pole switch, one black wire, one white wire and a ground controls two the bottom half of two different outlets. I replaced the old recepticals and didn't,t pay attention to how they were wired

It doesn't matter how the receptacles are wired it is AC, The switch should just be in the line between the source and the outlet and when turned off open the circuit. Use a voltage tester to see if power is coming into the switch. If power is coming in and not going out then you have a faulty switch.Recheck the wires going to the receptials and make sure one has not come loose.
