To change or insert an ink tank in the Canon Pixma MG5320, the printer should be plugged in and turned on. Make sure that nothing is on top of the scanner cover. Lift the entire scanner unit and cover by lifting it from near the center of the output tray without pressing any of the buttons on the control panel of the all-in-one. The tank carrier should move to the replacement position (near the center of the printer). Wait until the cartridge carrier stops moving. Do not touch any of the metal parts inside the printer. Push in on the tab of the cartridge (at the front of the cartridge) to be removed and then lift it up. Empty ink cartridges will be indicated by a fast blinking light at the front of the carrier. Put the cartridge aside carefully to avoid getting ink on any other surfaces. Prepare the correct new cartridge; take it out of the box and take off the plastic and orange tape. Hold the cartridge gently with the orange protective cap up; do not block the air vent on the opposite side of the cartridge. Twist the cap 90 degrees and remove it. Place the cartridge into its slot on the cartridge carrier with the front end of the cartridge at a downward slant. Push it all the way forward and then push down on the Push mark on the ink tank until it locks into place and the light comes on. Repeat with any other ink tanks. Gently lower the scanner unit; don't pinch your fingers or drop it hard. Check for any error messages, including ink status issues.
