C1 error code on dyson pure hot+cool
The C1 error code on the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool indicates a communication issue between the control board and the motor. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
- Turn off and unplug the machine for at least 10 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can sometimes reset the control board and resolve the issue.
- Check the filter and make sure it is clean. A dirty filter can cause the machine to overheat, which can trigger the C1 error code.
- Check the air intake and make sure it is not blocked. If the air intake is blocked, the machine may not be able to cool properly, which can cause the C1 error code.
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the problem may be with the control board or motor. In this case, it is recommended to contact Dyson's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to help you diagnose and resolve the issue, or recommend repair options if necessary.

110V fan has been plugged in 220V power socket
You may be lucky enough that the capacitor exploded from the 220 volt charge. You will have to enquire at an appliance repair shop for exact advice. Basically I would junk it and get the correct unit for the voltage and cycles in you area.
Dyson fan not turning on
Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.
If your Dyson fan isn't turning on at all, it's worth double-checking it in a different power socket, just to ensure it's not the socket itself which is at fault. If your machine has a plug which includes a fuse, we'd also recommend checking this.
If your fan still has no power when plugged in, or if the on/off switch LED light flashes when pressed, I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly so we can provide further assistance. If a replacement part is needed we can also confirm if this is covered under our 2-year guarantee.

Dyson fan AM01 Flashing blue light
Hi Kyle, it's Jack at Dyson.
A flashing blue power light can indicate that the machine needs to be reset. This is simple to do - just unplug the fan completely from the power supply for 30 seconds or so.
You should then find that the issue is resolved when you test the machine. If you're still having difficulties after trying this, please get in touch with us directly for some further assistance - a repeat issue sounds extremely unusual, and we'd need to understand more about how the fan is being used.

Dyson bladeless fan circuit burned out
First, you need to make sure that the faulty component is the ceramic capacitor. Then check to see if it's broken.
Use the multimeter and read the voltage on the capacitor leads. The voltage should read near 9 volts. The voltage will discharge rapidly to 0V because the capacitor is discharging through the multimeter. If the capacitor will not retain that voltage, it is defective and should be replaced. (Source:

Dyson Am04 model no longer turns on due to a power surge. What part is required to fix it? TIA.
First thing is to check the wall socket. Use a desk lamp or something similar and plug it into the socket you use for the heater. If the lamp works so does the socket. Next check the fuse. UK machine have a fuse in the plug, other countries use different systems.
If all these check out OK the surge may have damaged a circuit board inside the heater. Only a Dyson specialist could help you with that.
