Sounds like there is water inside the unit. It can be repaired by taking it apart and letting in totally dry out. After it is completely dry, Re seal the unit using some RTV silicone on the gasket. Or if you can get a new gasket that would be better.

Something is reducing the water flow that propels the unit up the slope. Check the valves at the pump are full open the unit for blockage as well as supply lines check for line leaks underwater and at unit. Hope this helps Mike

I would suggest not try uninstalling the drivers for the printers then going on line to the manufacturers web page and selecting a download for the model and suitable for your win os and start again it indicates a communication problem with the pc if you are running win xp the problem could be there as win xp is no longer supported by Microsoft and was good is no longer good

Are you sure the hose is not clogged with leaves or other debris from the pool?

what kind of scanner is it? is it a 2d barcode that you are trying to scan? Also make sure it isn't a printer issue: ie: barcode is too light. Does the scanner act like it sees the barcode? beep or any other notification?
