Flooded floor

yes I agree that you should not have layed it down , please wait for 48 hrs now to run it again with unit in upright position next id go over unit and look all all hose's seems a bit of mold builds up inside of these very often , Wight id always say to give it a little spritz of bleach water every 30-60 days or so to clean it out and keep your pipes flowing freely one of those little bottles of compressed air for computer cleaning goes 4 miles to cleaning out little holes and such on these things

Water is leaking out of the bottom

I get this complaint once in a while , most times it boils down to a unit that's being used on a Non level surface , most units are designed to gravity drain , if its not level , then Gravity is pulling wrong direction on unit so it drips on floor ;not in bucket drips also can come from a frozen evap coil , this is a sure sign of blocked air flow and possible gas charge over heat (leak) unplug unit for 48 hrs to see if water continues to drain out , if so yep it's iced up

How do I determine reason that my Danby Dehumidifier isn't cycling on to compressor for more than 3-4 seconds at a time? Fan always runs but compressor only kicks in for 3-4 seconds then back off.

I would say low on gas or bad switch/thermostat. The compressor probably has a shutoff for low freon. You would need a set of gauges to check for that. Bad thermostat? You'd need a ohm meter. User error? What kinda settings or controls do you have on the control panel? There was a recall on these in 2014 for catching on fire. What settings need to be on to take water out of the air

There is usually 3 choices As long as you hear the fan come on & the compressor cycle, it is working See no reason you can't try the features on the control panel They pretty much tell you what they are for

P1 error code

Take out your filter and clean it, if its dirty your machine can frost up due to the lack of air flow and will not work correctly. Once you clean it, it should be fine.
