Slide the cover up and remove the screw on the bottom cover. lift the cover off to reveal a 9 Volt battery.

You have to adjust the safety pressure sensor. It is set to too light a pressure. Check your manual for the adjustment.

You have to erase the receiver memory on both receivers and start over again. Do not do them at the same time.

That means the battery is either dead or the remote has gone bad.

Ask a friend to search for the instructions and print them for you. You may also be able to go to the library and use a computer there to do this on your own.

Take it apart, removed the battery and let it completely dry. Install battery and reassemble and it should work.

When you program your receiver make sure you aren't erasing the memory for the previously installed remotes. There is a storage limit, so you you repeat the process enough times you can lose the first remotes installed.

You have to make sure the trolley on the drive engages with the catch on the door. You may have to lift the door to the point it will engage while you are running the trolley in the close mode. Check that the trolley latch is open and ready to engage the catch. There is usually a rope to pull on to do this.

It should work in any position. Is there metal in the wall that could shield the remote from the receiver? Try the remote in different positions to see if you have a dead spot due to shielding.

How is the door balanced currently? In manual setting (without the opener) can it be raised by hand, will it hold at it's halfway point, and will it hold at fully open? These all have to be be in balance before adding the opener. I just replaced my rollers (Ideal Security SK7123 1 7/8-in Deluxe Nylon Rollers Commercial Grade 11 Ball Bearings) and they made a world of difference to quietness and opening. Plus, more importantly, they gave me clues as to the RHS being misaligned. There are several videos out there dealing with door side to side imbalances also.
