It could be dry joint or bad connection inside the remote. If you can open it and examine it then look at all the connections and solder joints. If you have a multimeter (voltmeter) then check the voltages inside.

First make sure there is a new battery in the remote. Then press and release the colored learn button on the motor head. Then press the button on the remote. The light bulb should flash to let you know the code has been received. If the remote does not work after this either the remote or the logic board in the motor unit needs replaced. Thanks BB

The led button on the remote tells you that the remote is sending a code and the led on the motor tells you that a code is being received, but any remote you press by it will flash this. First if you have a premium wall button make sure the vacation lock is not engaged. To turn it on/off press and hold the lock button on the wall button. Then try it. If this is not it then try to reprogram the remote. Press the colored learn button on the motor unit by the led. Then press the button on the remote. If these tips do not work then you will need either a new logic board or an external receiver in the same frequency as the remote. Thanks BB

PUSH THE SQUARE PROGRAM BUTTON AND RELEASE. NOW PUSH THE REMOTE AND HOLD FOR 20 SECONDS.

THE NEXT TIME YOU PUSH THE REMOTE IT SHOULD WORK THE DOOR.

Easy problem - and easy (temp) solution.
The safety pet sensors are blocked or broken
Press the button in the garage and hold it until the door is completely closed.....this over rides the safety sensor at the base of the garage door.
You cannot over ride the sensor with the wireless remote.
Check to be sure that the sensors are pointing at one another.
If they are, check the wires.
If good, the sensors have gone bad. Order replacements.

the chamberlin remote only work with a chamberlin reciever, if you have this it will be a silver box that looks like diamond plate material inside you operator, take of the front cover on this box and you will see a black button that says program push and hold this button down then push your remote button down while holding it close to the box you will see a yellow led flash and then it is set. if you only have a single button remote you will only be able to set it to one operator.

Browse the rest of the web site to see if anything else is helpful in your situation. I believe that you will have to check out either the gate openers manual or go to their website and see if it is possible to accept codes from your chamberlain remote. Good Luck! P.S. First of all you should check & ensure the infrared is emiting from the remote control. Though we cant see this infared beam with bare eyes, i found a trick to do so in http://www.unique-stuff.co.cc/fixing_remote_control_check_infrared.html When there's a sign of batteries weakness, replace them immediately.

well your main PC board inside of the opener head could have lost the frequency, or the unit memory has been erased, try to reprogram the remotes by going to the back of the opener head and locating the "learn" button which is either red, green, or purple in color. press the learn button then ONE button on ONE remote, pressing multiple buttons or pressing both remote buttons at the same time will not allow them to be programed successfully. after programing test by pushing the same button you just programmed, repeat for other remotes, and if this process did not work than you will need to contact chamberlain

Does it work from wall button? Hit learn button for 10 seconds. Hit again for 1 second and code keypad.Opener lights should blink 2x. Hit learn again for a second and hit button on a remote (Any button you chose). Again, lights should blink. Now should work. Repeat for any other remotes.

Posting your garage door model would help, but there may be a button close to the LED on the garage door opener that you have to depress to allow the two to pair up. Assuming that this is the similiar to my garage door control mechanism, if you have the dip switches set correctly you need to depress the button mentioned above and then depress one of the buttons on the remote.
