Taylor ice cream machine model 754-27 Mix compartments are not cooling. I replaced Logic Board on left side, also replaced ribbon cable
Have your electrical panel on the bottom open. While listening to the left hand power board, turn the left hand logic board mix potentiometer all the way clockwise. If not right away, within 10-15 seconds, you should hear a click and the mix refrigeration condenser fan should come on. If there's no click and the fan never comes on, check your hopper probe. If it is attached to other wires on the logic board, it should be separated for testing. Using an ohm meter, you should read between10K ohms (about 77 degrees) and 30Kohms (35 degrees) it should be in that range depending on whether you have anything in it or not. If its in this range and the potentiometer is turned all the way clock wise, then your powerboard is bad. If its a lot higher than 32K ohms, then most likey your probe is bad and the machine thinks its at temperature.
If the fan does come on then you will have to put refrigeration gauges on the mix refrigeration system. You should be reading 20PSI at the EPR valve and 1-10 PSI at the compressor. if you have those pressures, your compressor is working. if the pressures are equalized at anything above lets say 30PSI and theres no sign of change after a few minutes, then some component of the compressor has failed. it could be the relay, start capacitor, or the compressor itself. Of course if theres no pressure, you have a leak. Even with the proper pressures, you could be low on refrigerant. Check the whole system for leaks.

How to unlock taylor c712 freezer lock
Under normal operating conditions, the C712 will enter freezer lock when the temperature of the barrels or hoppers have been above 41 degrees for too long. It requires you to do a cleaning cycle. You will have to empty the machine of product, rinse it out, remove the freezer door, and shut the machine off. once the machine is off you will see a 5 minute timer and 4 temperature readings. That timer wont start unless all 4 temperature reading are above 60 degrees F. once the timer reaches zero, the machine will unlock and your brush cycle timer will reset to 00. The brush cycle timer is underneath your main display. Your main display should now show "Power Switch Off--- Unit Cleaned" and you can now reassemble your machine and can use it.Some causes: Low product with a lid off. During a cleaning cycle, the barrels take longer to come up to temperature than the hoppers. Its entirely possible to thoroughly and properly clean the machine without satisfying the temperature requirements. The machine doesn't register the cleaning cycle and you reassemble the machine. The machine doesn't know you cleaned the machine so it was still keeping track of how long the temperatures were above 41 degrees and as soon you try to put it in auto or standby, it goes into a freezer locked condition. One of the probes may be failing. You can check this by going into "Current Conditions" in your managers menu. You'll see the 4 temperature readings and if one of them is a lot higher or lower than the actual temperature of the product that could be an indicator of a failing temperature probe.

Taylor c713 communication failure comes up. What should I do to fix this?
The most common cause that I have seen for this issue is the USB cable coming unplugged from the UVC board in the electrical box. When you open the rear electrical box, the UVC board is the right most board in the box. it is Blue and at the bottom of that board is a white USB cable. Make sure it is plugged in all the way.
How does the evaporator of taylor ice cream machine work (evaporator is sealed with refrigerant blown insulation
Refrigerant flows through the AXV on the underside of the barrel assembly. Once expanded, it flows around the freezing cylinder in a spiral fashion, and then pulled through the suction line. It freezes from front to back and as its freezing, the inner beater assembly scrapes the frozen product from the side walls. As it thickens, the amp draw of the beater motor is measured and once the appropriate amperage is detected, the motor and compressor are shut of. This amperage can be adjusted by turning the Viscocity potentiometer on the Logic board at the top of the machine or by changing the setting through the technicians menu if you have a crown series machine.
