If it's on a Ryobi Generator then it should be a real Honda Engine. It's possible that it's a knock off or was replaced with one. If you bought it new from a reputable source then it's real, if it's used or came from an offshore source for a really low price then it's a good possibility that it's a kkoxk off. In all honesty, from my experience they do a great job with the knock off engines & they're usually reliable and last a normal life span similar to a real name brand.

Either way, that mechanical Issue Remains, I'm assuming you're refering to the valve being stuck and basically keeping the engine locked up and not allowing it to the over when attempting to start it. Sounds likely. Did you take the spark plug out and turn it over to see if it'll turn over at all to ensure it's not just totally locked up? My suggestion would be to Remove the valve cover and spark plug so that you can see the valvetrain in action when(if so) it is turning over and observe it to see if your valve theory is correct!

The photo shows the master 'smart' dimmer, but you purchased the remote 'smart' dimmer that is slave to the master dimmer.

So you are correct, that is not the correct dimmer for a single-pole application.
Cooper brand Aspire dimmers are available in 'Smart' dimmer and just plain old dimmer.

Both the dimmer linked to above will work for your single pole application. Keep in mind, they also work for 3-way applications so there will be an extra wire.
Since you know the phrase 'single pole' I suspect the wiring for you will be a cinch.

Sounds like the charger section of your AIMS inverter has a short. You can open the cover of the AIMS and see if a component or wire looks hot or burned. While disconnected, use an ohm meter and see if you can find a short starting with the input terminals to the charger section.

If the AIMS is producing power through the inverter side of the device, It would mean their is either a defective breaker on your load panel, or a short in your load.

I don't know your equipment, but the unbalanced term may refer to too large a load connected to one leg of your split phase service. Go to your load panels and try to get the amps drawn by your loads to be more equal. You may be over taxing one leg and have available capacity on the other, assuming you are running a 110/220 V split phase output.
