I found water in around amp in battery compartment
you may have to take the amp apart and clean any corrosion off inside of the amp. if the corrosion ate any of the leads of components or any traces, you may have to replace the amp. this is assuming it is the factory amp you are talking about.

Hi there i have a bmw 325 1990\r\ni desconcted
The CM5905 is made by ALPINE and uses a hardwired code system (instead of the more modern systems) so it can NOT be calculated just by quoting the Serial NumberThis means that the covers will have to be removed and a photo taken of the green circuitboardFrom this , the tags on the board can be identified and a working code calculated.Radio codes, help and advice always available here....including this old CM5905https://ukbookshelf.co.uk/
WHATS THE RADIO CODE FOR A 98 BMW 323IS???
Every BMW radio has a different radio code. It's an anti-theft device. If you are the original owner of the vehicle and still have the owner's manual package you should be able to find a card in the package labeled "Radiopass" that will have the code. If you don't have the pass there are a couple of ways to get the code depending on the model of the radio. If the radio is still in the car simply turn the radio on and press and hold the "m" button within a few seconds of turning the radio on to get the radio's serial number. That will be the number needed to get the radio code. Not all BMW radio models have that feature. If you cannot retrieve the serial number that way you will need to remove the radio and get the number from a sticker or plaque on the radio. At this point you will need to take that number to a dealership and have them get the radio code for you. NOTE: if you bring them just the number or just the radio and are not able to provide proof of ownership they will not give you the code. Be prepared to prove that you are the rightful owner with a copy of your registration and driver's license. BMW typically requires that both pieces of ID have the same name and address so you won't be able to send someone else on your behalf.
Bad fm radio reception on my kenwood car radio
It's not necessarily the Kenwood. BMW uses an odd system in their cars. There is the antenna, either on teh roof or in the rear window, that feeds analog to a receiver usually in the trunk that converts the signal into 2 wires. Analog and Digital. It uses a European antenna connection which requires an adaptor to interface our US Radios. So. It can be a couple of things that I've seen.
1. The adapter may not be perfectly nestled into the factory connection.
2. The adapter could be bad.
3. The car had an amplified signal processor built into the radio that amplified the antenna signal.
here are your possible solutions.
1. Check the Adapter and be sure it is plugged in properly. If it is still not working change it and try again.
2. If the adapter does not work, purchase a wired window-mount antenna and wire it thru your car. If you really want that kenwood, then you may have to compromise a little.
3. If neither works, then the only drawn conclusion would be the radio. Swap it and run thru the steps again.
There is not easy answer for this, it's troubleshooting stuff that has to be pin pointed. Good Luck!
I have a bmw x5

Have code for my 1994 320- but do not know the
Hi.
Procedure may vary, as series 3 from those years were sold mounting different types of Blaupunkt, Alpine and Philips factory stereo.
When you see CODE on display use the arrow buttons or volume control knob and balance fader, or numeric numbers to advance code numbers, when 4 numbers are set it will unlock by itself.
If you do something wrong, disconnect battery ground cable for two minutes and restart.
If you enter wrong code for three consecutive times the radio will lock up, some 80/90s radio cannot be unlocked after entering wrong code three times (that is the anti theft feature).
I connected the bmw harness
In that vehicle there is a factory amp. It will power up with the White wire in the factory harness. Hook the amp out wire from the aftermarket unit to this white wire. It also controls your antenna.

Remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers
on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
These older BMW radios usually require specialist advice for the code so it might be quicker to ask here
