Radio code for bmw z3 2001 2.5i

Hi and thank you for using fixya:
For radio code you can only find it in the dealership in your car's manual or on a sticker located in the trunk or doors of your car. Hope you find it on the stickers or manual. Otherwise go to the dealer they will give it to you.
Good luck

Could have blown a fuse, or someone could have messed with the radio, or it's wiring when the battery was off, activating a Delco-Lok anti theft system.

I have a 2000 740IL BMW and the radio does not

Did the battery get disconnected? if so you need a code to get it to work. you will need to go to the dealer or i think some wab sites will get the code for you for like $30 but it may be a scam. the dealer can get it with the vin number or just the key. (i think)

Hi i have a 2003 x5 and three buttons on my stereo

not unless you find someone willing to work on it that really knows what they are doing.
if you remove the deck, and take off the front panel, there is a printed circuit board with some 4 pin switches, surface mount on that board.
if you replace the switches it will work fine.

02 5 series bmw stereo

Hello rbs845,

Most vehicle audio integrated phones use a ground on a specific wire from the receiver to activate the "mute" function. If the wire contacts other wires or shorts to ground, it can cause the receiver to signal an incoming call or mute. Without the exact make and model of the receiver, it's not possible to point you to a specific wire color to look for. I'd make sure that ALL wires that are not used are securely insulated and kept from touching other wires or metal behind the dash.

Hope this helps.

Need code for bmw radio F4051747313 dealer wants

Only a BMW dealer can look up the code. Of course, charging you for this is ridiculous. It takes a few seconds and costs the dealer nothing. I would try another dealer.

Need the anti theft code for 93 BMW 325

The anti-theft code is different for each vehicle. You will need to contact a BMW dealer in your area and provide proof of ownership to get the code. There is no single code for all BMW's. If this were the case, it wouldn't be very secure.

I own a 2004 525i and I get this intermittent loud

Are your windows Tinted especially the back one? The antenna is in the window ant the tinting will cause the static, BMWs are very famous for having this problem. There are aftermarket window mount antennas and FM boosters you may want to try to help reduce it. Go to an audio shop or search online for one.

One part that confuses me in your statement is when you turn it off, it won't turn back on, Do you mean the cd player won't even work during this time or just the AM and FM bands as the cd player should work?

Sound increases as you accelerate. can you switch off?

I know what you mean. Used to be a source of irritation in this otherwise super-quiet car. It was like "hey... the music plays far too loud now please drive a little slower dad". Really irritating on the Autobahn, constantly fiddling on that volume knob.

Interestingly, the instruction manual for the business CD main unit gave no clues at all! Then I found the solution at the bimmerfest BMW forum:

"
1.Power down the unit (using the knob) and power back up in the radio mode
(either AM or FM).
2. Hold down the "m" button (right of the display) until your display shows
a serial # xxxxxxxxxxx.
3. Using the "+" or "-" buttons that surround the center "musical note
symbol" button to the left of your display, scroll until "GAL 3" comes up,
which is factory setting. Using the number buttons 1 thru 6 below your
display, press the number "1". Your display will now read "GAL 1 ".
4. Power down the unit again (using the knob) and when you power back up,
your new setting will be effective!
5. To confirm that the new setting is active, repeat steps 2 & 3 to check
your "GAL" setting.
6. Enjoy your HK unit's volume the way YOU want to hear it!
"

I assume there are slightly different versions of this in different models but it goes something like this, the keyword you are looking for in the menu system is "GAL" which is a German acronym for speed-sensitive volume control (Geschwindigkeitsabhängige Lautstärkenregelung für Radio).

Good luck!
