You shorted the LED display. The touch screen is not effected by this. If you don't have a shop locally that works on headunits, then you will need to purchase a new one. Always make sure to unhook the battery before doing an install.

I have a 2008 gmc sierra, trying to wire in power acoustik wmh7-s1. It has power and everything works but doesn't have sound?

If your 2008 GMC Sierra has power and everything works but you don't have sound from the Power Acoustik WMH7-S1 after wiring it in, here are some steps you can follow to try and troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the wiring: Make sure all the wires are properly connected and tightened. Confirm that the ground wire is securely connected to the vehicle's chassis.
  2. Check the fuses: Make sure the fuses for the audio system are not blown. Check both the main audio fuse and the subwoofer fuse if applicable.
  3. Check the speaker wiring: Confirm that the speaker wiring is correct, with the correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative).
  4. Test the head unit: If you have a multimeter, you can use it to test the head unit's output voltage. The voltage should be between 11 and 14 volts DC. If the voltage is too low, the head unit may not be providing enough power to the speakers.
  5. Check the speakers: If you have a multimeter, you can use it to test the speakers. Confirm that they have continuity, and that the speaker wiring is not damaged or shorted.
If you've tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, you may want to consider consulting a professional to help diagnose and resolve the problem.

How do i fix my Power Acoustik LT-980/2 car amp, it keeps on going into protect mode.

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty . .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you

I have a power acoustiks ps2-1200 it has power but the red light is on indicating that its in protection mode for some reason any idea why

There is a short or wires are touching, Then again it could be because the remote(Blue wire) From amp to stereo which tells it to turn on and off has been connected to the wrong wire and is not working effectively.
Check for any shorts check all wires from both ends it shouldn't take long and make sure no wires are even slightly touching.

I HAVE A POWER ACOUSTIK PTID-8970NRBT MY PROBLEM MY SCREENSAVER

Here is what I received from Power Acoustik for screensaver and desktop saving from SD card. "You need to have the remote in hand. Insert a memory stick or SD card that has the images you want to use. When the image is displayed, press the pause button on the remote. Then touch the screen to bring up a set of icons on the bottom. If you do not see an icon with a hand, press the arrows that are in a circle until you do. Once you see the hand, press it one time. It will save the image onto the internal memory. You will find the image in the screen tab in settings, under all the stock images."
